Find Common Interests You Can Share

Opposites attract and different tastes will keep any relationship interesting. With that said, it is also important to have some interests that you can share together. If you don’t have anything in common with your significant other, you should make an effort to change that.

Find something that you can both do together. This will give you an outlet to spend time together outside of your normal routine. It is a fun way to spice up your relationship and avoid falling into a mundane routine that that zaps all of the fun out of your normal happy selves.

Give Each Other Space

You will be spending most of your time with your significant other. During this time, you don’t have to be suffocating each other the whole time. When you give each other space, it will allow both of you to relax, unwind and it will give both of you time to miss each other. These are all good things.

Anand Mishra of Star Infranet put it best - The more time you are apart, the more you will want to be together. Spending time apart will only strengthen the relationship. Short breaks apart and giving each other space will make for a happy relationship.

Trust Each Other

Honesty is everything. If you can’t trust your significant other, it will be difficult to maintain a healthy relationship long-term. Trust issues will lead to a lot of arguments and it can discourage taking time apart from each other, which is so important to keeping both people in the relationship wanting the other.

If you have trust issues, force yourself to trust them. Don’t distrust them until they give you a reason to. They have chosen to be in a relationship with. There is no reason you shouldn’t trust that they want to be with you and they will do what is necessary to continue to grow the relationship.
